History

Caucasus Genetics Company was established in 2006. The company unites experts of livestock breeding and milk production sectors, stock-breeders and artificial insemination specialists. Caucasus Genetics started operating as a small company serving East and South Georgia, today it is the main provider in the sphere of livestock, milk processing, animal breeds and artificial insemination in the country.  Import of innovative livestock breeding technologies and the implementation of the sound number of significant projects are associated with the company.

 

Chronology 

  • The Company was established in December 2006;
  • 2007 - Artificial insemination technology in cattle breeding was implemented;
  • 2009 - The only Livestock Breeding and Artificial Insemination Center of modern standard technologyin the Caucasus was opened in Tibaani;
  • 2009 - Caucasus Genetics Study Center was opened;
  • 2010 - Pastures management technology (electric fence) was introduced;
  • 2012 - The office was opened in Tbilisi;
  • 2012 - The Company initiated the provision of equipment of modern technology standards and farms designs;
  • 2012 - Milk production technology and installation services for milk processing companies was initiated;
  • 2013 - Embryo transplantation technology in cattle breeding was implemented;
  • 2014 - The import line of breeder cattle was developed;
  • 2014 - Artificial insemination technology and semen production in pig breeding was introduced;
  • 2015 - Automatic milking systems delivery, montage and exploitation service was introduced;
  • 2016 - The first International Conference in Livestock Breeding was organized in Georgia;
  • 2016 - The Company became a member of the UN Global Compact;
  • 2017- The Company became a member of Civil Society National Platform of Eastern Partnership;
  • 2018 - In line with cattle farming, pig and poultry farming projection and equipment provision, and montage services were initiated;
  • 2019 - Caucasus genetics became a signatory to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles - WEPs;
